Rebirth Opening Reception at Sorell Wine Bistro New Rochelle

This series was released right after I accidentally lost my entires careers work. I felt like 6 years of hustling and hard work were in vain. I had two options, to perish or to thrive.

Instead of grieving about my loss, I decided to celebrate it. I love the concept of the phoenix, a unique bird that lived in the Arabian desert, after this time burning itself on a funeral pyre and rising from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle.

Rebirth celebrates our moments of failure and defeat, because without them we can't see the light and rise once again.

I wanted to share this story with my friends and tell them that it's ok to fail. We should perceive our failures as opportunities and reborn from the ashes like a phoenix. Our friends at Sorell and La Nela Collective Arts were a big support for the making of this project and because of them it was a memorable night.
